Lateral Deformation Characteristics and Control Methods of Foundation Pits Subjected to Asymmetric Loads

Using the foundation pit at Jianye Road Station of Hangzhou Metro Line 6 as a case study, deformation characteristics subjected to asymmetric loads is investigated in this paper using PLAXIS 3D numerical simulation software. The influence active pressure zone reinforcement, passive and increased thickness diaphragm wall loaded side on maximum lateral displacement retaining structure also systematically analyzed. results show that walls both sides strongly inconsistent when affected by load value its distance pit. In order reduce deformations load, two control methods are adopted simulations. It shown reinforcing can certain extent but reinforcement should have depth, resulting poor efficiency. On other hand, effectively difference between increasing depth width zones. observed increase adverse effect research provide reference for measures loads.
